Level 4 (By Placement)

Ballet: Correct alignment with a solid technical foundation is critical to the introduction of pointe work at this level. More complex combinations are introduced, comprised of increased leg extension, stamina, and attention to detail. Students are able to apply individual and group corrections efficiently, which greatly enhances their technical and artistic development. This class meets twice a week, and students are able to add an additional ballet class, character dance, contemporary dance and stretch/conditioning classes to their schedule if they choose.

Character: Much of classical ballet is character, or folk dance. Students are strongly encouraged to take this class as part of their ballet training.

Conetmporary: With a focus on contemporary dance forms and movement, this class supports classical ballet training and allows students to develop a greater versatility of style and movement.

Stretch: In stretch and conditioning, dancers will develop greater flexibility, strenght and endurance.

Youth Company: Students desiring to dance at a pre-professional level are encouraged to audition for Youth Company. Students will perform multiple times per year. Please visit the Youth Company page for more details.

Which Classes Should I Take?
