Vladimir Tsal, a soloist of Mikhailovsky Theatre, was born in 1978 in Leningrad. He graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in Saint-Petersburg, and joined the Mikhailovsky Ballet in 1997.
Since then he has performed soloist and principal roles in ballets such as Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, Giselle, La Sylphide, Cippolino, La Bayadere, The Little Humpbacked Horse, Romeo and Juliet, The Sleeping Beauty, La Fille Mal Garde, Don Quixote, and more.
Vladimir has worked with acclaimed directors such as Nikolay Boyarchikov, Mikhail Messerer, Pyotr Gusev, Farukh Ruzimatov, Nikita Dolgushin, Genrikh Mayorov, Oleg Vinogradov, Igor Belsky, Kasyan Goleyzovsky, and Nacho Duato.
He also has been teaching for many years and travels internationally to teach master classes.
