Leonid Kisil

Leonid Kisil, a corps de ballet member of the Mikhailovsky Theatre, was born in 1988 in Leningrad. He graduated from the Mravinsky Music School in 2000 and graduated from The Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (Tsvetkov class) in 2005, followed by acceptance into the Mikhailovsky Ballet Theatre the same year. In 2010, he became a laureate of the International Ballet Competition in Rieti, Italy. He has performed the pas de deux from Le Corsaire, Harlequinade, and Tango Golden Age, and has performed soloist roles in La Sylphide, Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, and Chipollino, as well as danced in ballets by Nacho Duato.
