NOW OFFERING:
SALT LAKE CITY BALLET is committed to providing students with excellent ballet training during their first preparatory steps toward careers as professional dancers.
To that end, the academy employs the time-tested standards of the Russian Vaganova method as the foundation of our training curriculum. Each member of our highly-educated and experienced faculty comes from a distinguished dance background and endeavors to transfer the rich history of her training to each individual student.
This combination of preeminent faculty and an established syllabus of study will benefit both aspiring preprofessional students and recreational ballet enthusiasts alike, and will foster an environment conducive to learning, adapting, and advancing in the technical and artistic capabilities of dance.
Dear students, parents and friends,
We hope you’ve been having a great Summer break so far! Terry, Hillary, and I are gearing up for an exciting new Fall semester with everyone again, and are looking forward to seeing all the students returning to class. Many of our students will be in different levels and will be learning new skills alongside both familiar and new faces. We’re happy to be a part of each student’s development! Also, keep your ears open for our future expansion! We hope to have two remodeled classrooms by the New Year!
Fall semester begins on September 7th, right after Labor Day, and you’ll notice that we’ll be implementing some significant changes which will enhance the level of quality for your student’s ballet training.
We are updating our class levels to align them accurately with the Russian Vaganova syllabus, along with a renewed emphasis by our instructors on an established, graded curriculum:

•Level 1 is now Introduction to Ballet A (ages 5-6)

•Level 2 is now Introduction to Ballet B (ages 6-7)

•Level 3 is now Grade 1A (ages 8-10)

•Level 4 is now Grade 1B (ages 9+)

•*New* Contemporary/Choreography for Grade 1 students

•All-ages Friday Movie Night & Nutrition Class
If you’re new to the Academy, we offer a complementary placement class which will allow us to place your child in a class best-suited to their ability.
This Fall will be devoted to our student's ballet education and preparing for our winter performance. We will keep you updated with news regarding our performance!
For our Adult Class students, we are in the process of adding to our class offerings:

•*New* Yoga for Dancers taught by Kate Crews, former soloist at Ballet West

•Expanded Adult Open Ballet classes, both beginning & intermediate levels

Salt Lake City Ballet is located at 324 S State Street in the center of downtown. The Academy is located on the first floor just inside the north entrance of the building (on 300 S, Broadway)
In addition to our academy program SALT LAKE CITY BALLET now offers the following:
MASTER CLASSES with MISHA TCHOUPAKOV & REGINA ZARHINA
(every Saturday, 5:30pm to 7pm, open to all preprofessional and professional dancers)
ADULT OPEN BALLET CLASSES & YOGA
($10 per class/$80 for 10 class card, open to all dancers from absolute beginners to advanced levels)
